Fear Factory's DIno Cazares and Burton C. Bell dish the dirt on their favorite dirty dishes. While it's true that hard, fast, propulsive music often lends itself to equally hard, fast, propulsive sex, not every metal band is known for evoking images of carnal pleasures. Such is the case with Fear Factory.  Though many words - "intense", "aggresive", "groundbreaking" - could be used to describe their particular brand of industrial metal, "erotic" just isn't one of them. The group's fourth album, Digimortal, may be it's most medolic offering to date, but songs like "Linchpin", "Invisible Wounds (Dark Bodies)", and "No One" are still better suited to a sci-fi soundtrack than to a porno movie score. But that doesn't mean the boys aren't game for the occasional booty call. In fact, Dino Cazares positivly loves his smut, be it in the form of tittie mags, strip clubs, or porno flicks. And, true to the bands stylistic leanings, he's looking forward to a brave new world where the Internet will raise the bar on adult offerings higher than anyone could ever imagine.   Revolver Are you guys big fans of strip clubs? Dino I love strippers, man! Whenever we're in a city that has a good strip club, I'm there. Strippers are very similar to musicians because we all have pretty much the same hours. We work at night and sleep in the day, and we're both kind of on the fringe of society. Burton To tell the truth, I'm not as into them, I've been to some strip bars, and they're okay, but they get old after a while. There's always a cover charge, and there's a two-drink minimum, the drinks are really expensive, and then the strippers try to get you to buy them drinks. I'd rather save my money. Revolver What do you dig most about strippers? Dino I like it when they take their clothes off. [laughs]  But, you know, it's their job to be nice to you, so they can be really manipulative. They act all sexy with you because they want to get your money. You have to be careful. And if you're going to have a relationship with a stripper, you have to make sure that you can deal with what they do for a living. Believe me, I know. Strippers love to get naked, and if you want to have a relationship with one, you have to make sure you don't mind if they take their clothes off around your friends. Revolver Do strippers have any special sexual skills? Dino The great thing about having sex with a stripper is that alot of times they bring their girlfriends, if you know what i mean. Revolver Are you a fan of the lap dance? Burton It just seems silly to me. Don't get me wrong, I love girls and i like sex, but if you're gonna hook up with someone, go and have sex with them in private. Don't rub up against them in public with your clothes on. Dino Dude, I don't consider a trip to a strip club complete if I haven't had a lap dance. Revolver Have you ever gotten overly stimulated by a lap dance? DinoOh, I've gotten wood lots of times; that's the point of a lap dance. The girl's grinding against you, and it's totally arousing. I've made a mess in my shorts before. And the girl liked it - I think she got kind of turned on by it. That probably happens to alot of guys, especially ones who are kind of uptight and end up getting a lap dance at a bachelot party or something. Revolver Have you ever slept with a porn star? Dino Yeah, I've been with porn stars, but that's a little bit more fucked up. Alot of porn stars have similar profiles: Many of them were abused when they were younger. Alot of them were molested. And they have all kinds of issues and baggage that can be really hard to deal with. Dating a porn star is tough. I'd advise against it. Revolver Are you a big fan of porn? Burton Occasionally it's cool, but usually I'd rather watch a good regular movie. Dino I fucking love porno movies. I've got lots of them, and i was even in one of them. It was this movie called Tails From The Road, about bands on the road and the groupies who run around having sex with them. We shot it on the bus during Ozzfest, and we snuck everyone in so Sharon Osbourne didn't know anything about it, because we knew she would have had a fit. Revolver Were you an extra in the film, or did you actually perform? Dino I was in it, but I didn't have sex. There were these two girls, and I just used a dildo on them. Revolver Is Fear Factory good music to strip to? Dino Not for me. [laughs]  But alot of strippers seem to like it. And when we did "Cars," that went over real well with strippers. Alot of them thought it was a good song to shake their thing to. Revolver Is Fear Factory good music to have sex to? Dino I guess it is if you like your sex to be real aggresive. But I was having sex with this girl once, and someone next door was blasting Fear Factory, and it was really weird for me. It was kinda hard to concentrate. Revolver Your band has always been about machines and technology. What do you think of sex in the computer age? Burton It's become so available now. People don't have to go out and buy magazines or movies in adult movie stores and hide their faces and fell all embarrassed. But it's dangerous, too, because Big Brother's watching. Every website you go to, you leave an electrnic fingerprint. So you think you have privacy, but you really don't. Dino I love all that shit. And you can get all kinds of things on the computer and have sex using webcams and stuff. That's all cool, but the images are real grainy and it's not in real time yet; there's kind of a time lapse, and you can't see every frame. But as technology improves, that stuff is gonna become more clear. I was in Japan recently, and they have these cell phones with screens attached to them so you can see the person you're talking to. Not many people have them right now, but when those become popular, that's gonna be so cool. It will be great for bands on the road because, if you have a girlfriend at home and you don't wanna cheat on her, you can just have phone sex and you can see each other.
